2005 Exp Sport Trac Horn Problem

The horn goes off at random intervals. I was told it was the contact behind the airbag that was bad. I pulled the fuse to stop the problem for now. Last estimate to repair was over $800. I recognize the airbag probably isn't fun to work with, but that's more than I want to spend. Is there a way to run a switch to the horn? If so, where is the horn located? Looking at some specs, it appears to be behind the fender liner.
Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my F250. I had train horns, so I just pulled the fuse. An easy solution would be to buy and mount a horn button, and wire a relay from the new button to the horn.
