Hi,

I want to lower the height of my explorer by changing the wheel size and tire profile. I would like to lower the the seat-to-ground height in order to more easily transfer my wife from her wheel chair.

Is there a 15 or 16-inch wheal available to fit the explorer's bolt pattern.

How can I find the specs for the wheel pattern?

Thanks

The pattern is a 5x4.5 or 5x114.3. I cant help on offset and all that though.

Have you thought about a lowering kit of some sort? Would be a little more work, but probably get you closer to where you want to be.

I believe 16s will fit, if you aren't running greasable upper ball joints. I don't think the zerk fitting will clear. Also not sure of the offset, but it's a high negative offset 44mm or so. You could use 16" 3G Explorer wheels. 15s will not fit. +1 on the lowering kit.
