Hi everyone!!!
I need some help with the rear pads. I trying to get correct ones but in
pep boys and autozone they only had the ones with the large center prong
and not the smaller my sport trac use. They can't fit inside the cylinder.
My 2005 XLT 4.0L model uses the small pads with the small center prong. Can't get one here. Where can I find one? or any other way to do the work with the existing ones? They fit in size except this small center problem.
Thanks in advance.

Are they giving you 667's? Ask for 881's. Bendix or Wearever # would be MKD881

Still missing the correct one. :(
By looking at the images your are wrong like the people at the stores .
Still missing a small pad with the small center retainer. It's the D667 size
with the MKD881 center. To my knowledge there are 3 types pads for this
model. I know this because the small retainer is exactly at the center of the pad and not offset like the links you sent. I don't know how to share a photo
in this forum, if someone help me I can show you.

Only Solution...

Unfortunately I went through the same issue for 2 months. Evidently when Ford issued the rear brake pad designs to the aftermarket, the drawings were incorrect. The small pad was drawn with the large clip and the large pad with the small clip. I went to all the suppliers I could find, Napa, Autozone, Advance, Pepboys, O-rileys, ect. I finally went to the dealer and paid $70 for the correct pads! It killed me! I don't understand why it hasn't been corrected in the aftermarket. Almost every box I looked had been previously opened.
If you find a source other than the dealer, please post it.

center retainer is at center and is the small one and Thanks for
the info. What if I cut the centers? Could it be unwise?

I thought about doing the same thing, cutting the old clips and welding them on the new pads but I was afraid the heat might de-laminate the material. In hind sight, I should have tried it..
