2005 Eddie Bauer 4.6L 4X4
I did all four this morning, pretty easy job. 2005 Eddie Bauer.
Put all four corners on jackstands, and removed wheels. Broke the outboard bead only, using my Harbor Freight bead breaker. Knelt on tire to make room for my fingers, and swapped them out. Rotated the tires while I had it up. Put wheels back on and did the ignition switch procedure.
No special tools required. No magnet, no scanner, no relearn tool. Just aired down to relearn.
Easy job, about $170USD total including the bead breaker.

Nice! I had new (oem) sensors installed years ago, but couldn't get them to work.
Tried everything, including the magnetic way.
Pressed re-set button for years after starting to clear message. Became habit.
After an oil change, my mechanic casually mentioned he'd fixed the TPMS problem (no charge).
Never asked him how...was just glad to have it working again.
Took a couple of weeks to un-learn my pressing re-set button habit, though.

Well then... That answers my question! They CAN BE relearned by airing down... 👍🏼
