I have a 2006 Ford explorer 4.6l I am changing the crank position sensor on. The a/c compressor must be loosened and moved away from the engine to give clearance for the crank position sensor to come out. There is 1 stud with nut as part of it and two studs with nuts that are separate. The two studs with separate nuts were removed successfully as well as the one that is one piece. My issue is that the two studs that are still there are seized inside the compressor, not allowing the compressor to slide away from engine. I have tried prying, hitting it with the air hammer in multiple locations, and the two nut ( jam nut) method to spin stud which ultimately led to breaking the stud. The studs have been sprayed with penetrating fluid and have been sitting since yesterday. ( Unfortunately I've now read that penetrating fluid does nothing for aluminum oxide)
I am looking for advice on how to loosen the studs/ break down the oxidation that caused it to seize.
Thanks for any help
