Please excuse a newbie! (first post to ANY forum)
I have recently purchased this vehicle. I have a child seat restricted toddler that likes to push buttons (he loves the independance of operating the window himself). I have figured out a way to retrict the window locks to only lock the back windows but I am wondering if there is any way to make the back windows only go down half way when the main window lock is disabled. I would like to allow him to put the window down/up (independatly) when I'm not driving interstate. Since his car seat sits high I worry about not only him throwing things out but things blowing out as well. Any way to modify to keep it from going down completely? thanks

I'm not sure how to navigate these sites so apologies if I have posted to the wrong place!

First off, welcome to the forum. Now on to your subject... I personally would not let him fiddle with the rear windows since those are prone to premature failure/sticking as it is and you don't want the repair bill for replacing the drive assembly on that window. Also, I have not heard of anyone wanting to do what you want to attempt. However, that doesn't mean that it cannot be achieved just that it would take some original engineering to pull it off.
On another note, the only way that I can see you immediately being able to do some of what you want is to roll the window down to the height you want it at and then lock it out using the driver panel switch so he cannot move it up or down at that point.

Thank you, Flag Gibby, for your reply. Your right, I shouldn't let him have free reign over the controls. I spent last night reading a thread about the window failure rate. I am content with "adjusting" the master window lock to allow my front passenger to control their own window while the backs are locked. This will be a learning experience of new rules in the "new" car.
