2006 explorer xlt max speed

If you can tell us your gear ratio, it can probably be computed. The speed limiter is probably set around 110 or so. If you know the gear ratio, transmission gear ratios, tire size, and the speed, you can figure out the RPMs. Depending on gear ratios, 3.55 or 3.73, and according to this calculator at 110 mph you will be pulling between 3300-3500 rpms.

IF this helps my 2nd Gen with the OHV 4.0 and 3.73 rear tops out at an indicated 120 mph at 4500 rpm (horsepower limited, rather than speed) I have far less power than you do so I think you'd have me bested in speed. (Got it that fast out in the Texas Panhandle, where you can see for 10 miles in any direction)

Safest bet would be 120, then whatever the RPM calculates out mathematically.

Like Dan says, the axle ratio plays a part at what RPM it will turn.

I have a 2006 EB and stock it only goes to 100 then just sits there until you decide to take your foot off the gas. the rev limiter goes to the notch right before the red line. the V8 totally hauls ass though!
