my explorer has the leather seats. My vehicle does not have a heated seat option. For some reason the drivers seat gets very warm to an u comfortable level. I also notice that the drivers side of the console gets very warm. I have had another explorer before but seat never got this warm. Its almost like heated seat with no button or switch that activates a heated seat. Any idea what the problem is

Wow I thought its was only me feeling that way too. I think it has something to do with the aux heat duct that runs thru the center console. But I could be wrong

Its very hot. Even with heat off

I can't imagine anything seat related. Doesn't sound like the heat since it doesn't do it when it's off. I suggest you look under the vehicle. If necessary, pull the carpet and look for a hole under your seat. Are all the exhaust heat shields in place? Is there sufficient fluid in your transfer case if 4wd?
In other words - don't just look for a problem inside or with the seat itself.

You may be on to something as Im getting a clicking sound when defroster is on and thinking blendor sending heat when not asked for
