Questions for you gurus... is there any way that seat memory feature on a 2006 Mounty is somehow linked to the entire stereo system? Mechanic says it is... radio in the Mounty in question had been replaced with an aftermarket unit - memory feature does not work... is that at all possible?

thanks!

I have an '06 explorer (same vehicle) and have an aftermarket headunit - It's in no way tied to the memory seats / pedals.

the only way to install the memory seat is to buy a dash harness from a salvage vehicle that has it or you can get them new for $526 which isnt bad at all but if you go through the salvage yard you can get them for $230 easly or even cheaper if you are lucky. I know of a few company who has the harness if you are still looking to add it to your vehicle. The dash isnt that hard to take out either, i would say the hardest thing is working with the center console and radio bezel from my experience.

that was not an issue... memory seats are in already just not working... someone told me that it's all linked through the entertainment system/navi system - was just wondering if that is true.
