Bought a 2006 ranger XL 2X4 model w/3 litre auto, LB just today.
Liked the service, but was peeved off on the restrictions to accessories. I would have liked the chrome grille available on the XLT model to match the rear light trim which is available on the free "1000$ limit pick list" they offer, ....no such luck. We're talking like 1/2hours work undoing 4 screws to remove the original grille and replacing it.
Also on the "pick list" you can choose the chrome rims listed at 425$, but read the small print, it's 425$ for one rim. I think Ford goofed with this one. It didn't occur to them the 1000$ limit only allows the buyer only 2 rims. I thought it was for all 4.
Also read the sales slip closely. I found a 249$ charge with no explaination. They stated it was for making sure the truck was "safe and secure" after a delivery drive from another town(which I don't like). I said it sounded steep and figured it was less than an hour's work. Still not sold on the excuse and I figure the cost is to foot the bill, ....hotel,meals and gas for the driver.
