Nowhere in the manual (that I can find) does it talk about the seat heaters. There is a row of large buttons, down at the bottom of the console (forward of the shifter) that controls them. It is the same row that has the 1 and 2 seat memory buttons.

There are 5 buttons (spaces) From right to left they are the right front passenger seat heat control, a blank panel, then the driver side heat control, then a button that has up and down arrows with what appears to be an icon of a vehicle on an incline. To the left of that button is the seat memory button.

As I said, none of these buttons appear in the manual. My question is about the 4th button from the right side, ie, the button with the up and down arrows and the vehicle icon on the incline.

What in heavens name is it for? The symbol on that button also does not show up in the glossary of symbols.

Also, as an aside, in that glossary of symbols it shows one for the HVAC cabin filter. I can find nothing in the manual about this filter. Googling it, it appears that the explorer may not have one?

That "vehicle" is a foot and that is the pedal position control. It also responds to the seat memory control.

Thanks, I'll have to fiddle with it. I did actuate it, both up and down, but did not notice or see any kind of activity or indicator lights, anywhere.

Yep, it works. Tried it tonight, with the engine running and the trans in park. I lowered it all the way down. I thought the brake pedal seemed too high and now it is at a more natural feeling level.
