2007 Eddie Bauer Trailer Hitch and Light hookup

I have a 2007 Eddie Bauer with the small receiver and flat four light hook up. I would like to change to a 7 way and classIII receiver. Has this conversion been done?

my guess would be see if the harness is plug and play first?

Like for me I went all crazy when I was trying to get sync mirror working, and the factory harness that plugs in to the sync mirror is all plug and play

I switched my 4 prong to a 7 prong receiver. There are wiring diagnostics online that breakdown exactly how to run the connection. The truck is already set up for a quick conversion to the 7 prong receiver. As for the Class III hitch, I left mine a class II, but it isn't difficult. It's a matter of removing the bolts holding the current class II in, as well as knocking it with a hammer because its most likely stuck on there good. Then attaching the Class III which can be bought at any automotive store and they all come with DIY instructions or they can be found online. It's not a tough project, and will most likely take no more than 3 hours for the whole deal. Good Luck!

The hitch is part of the frame - welded. You can only add class 3 below, and then you have 2 of them.
