Hi, I'm new on here, just picked up a 2007 Explorer on Monday and it had an aftermarket stereo in it that I didn't care for. A friend of mine gave me his 6 disk unit from an 07 f150 to use and though it didn't have the subwoofer out, it works perfect on the unit itself. I am having troubles with the steering wheel controls though, all the audio control buttons are doing the same thing, changing the source on the radio. My guess from doing a search on here is that the radio isn't compatible with my car and I've got to get one that is. Not really a big deal, I've got no money into the unit I got and its working ok for the time being. Am I right to assume its just the wrong radio? If so does anyone know the part number for the correct one? My explorer originally came with the subwoofer and with sirius installed if that helps. Thanks!

i have a 2007 xlt 4x4, it had the factory 6 disc changer with factory sirius and sub, the part number is.... 7L2T-18C815-BD, i think thats the model number. it has the 3 gray connectors. although mine didnt have the steering wheel controls, so it still could be different from the one you actually need

I've also now noticed that when I turn off the truck and turn it back on it has switched to another source just like it does when I use the steering wheel controls. Kinda makes me think that there might be a way to make this work with my car since it's only having one issue
