2007 Explorer replacing single disk stereo with 6 disk changer?

Hello,

This is my first post here. I'm glad I found this forum as I am a Ford man. I have that my wife drives a 2007 Explorer and I have a 66 Mustang.

Anyway, the lights on our stereo have gone completely out so I am wanting to replace it. Unless there is a way to fix this?

I found a OEM with the 6 disk changer pretty cheap from an 07 explorer eddie bauer edition.

Will this fit in my rig?

Yes it will fit. Just watch out, the CD changers go bad pretty quickly. This forum has plenty of stories where people changed them numerous times.
My CD changer went bad and I just replaced it with an OEM cd player/radio. There are less parts to break in a regular CD player.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of replacing it with the navigation system but can't seem to find one on the net. Or i'm not looking in the right areas.
