I have a 2007 Explorer 4 WD, Six Cyl Automatic and have the Wrench dashboard light on.
I noticed when I come to a stop there is a big 'clunk' that I feel in the rear as the transmission seems to downshift. It's almost like play in the universals.
Funny thing is, when I put it in 2nd gear manually, the clunking goes away when coming to a similar stop.
The transmission doesn't seem to miss shift (it never really did give a good positive shift it seems).
I don't have the diagnostic codes yet, but do plan on going to my local parts store to get them.
I searched this forum and didn't really find anything related to this sort of diagnostic problem.
