2008 Explorer Eddie Bauer - sunroof keeps popping back

Ever since I bought this SUV (last year) - I noticed that when trying to close the sunroof, it opens back up. So i'll push the button once, it'll close part way, then hit some invisible thing - and go back open. It'll do this about 5-8 times - then finally close.
When it does close, it closes smoothly - there's nothing obvious stuck in the tracks that slows down the motor (no grinding, crunching, bending, etc).

Am I able to adjust this somehow, or do I need to grease something, or what?
