I have a 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer series and noticed something annoying. I keep the interior light that comes on when the doors are opened OFF when the doors are opened. Recently I got inside a friend's Explorer and noticed when she disabled the alarm system that lights under the side mirrors illuminated. I looked under my mirrors and found the same lights, but they never illuminated...UNLESS I make it so the interior lights come on when the doors are opened.
QUESTION: How can I keep the interior lights off when opening the doors, or disabling the alarm, AND still have the under mirror lights illuminate like the headlights do when I disable the alarm?
I like that feature...but don't like the interior lights illuminating. Does anyone have an answer?
