- 2004 XLT
Howdy all, first post. I just acquired a 2004 XLT.
I am looking for a solution for iPod connectivity (and maybe bluetooth). There are a few DD head units on Crutchfield that will fit the bill nicely @ about $350. But - now and then I see an OEM head unit from a new model on eBay.
This is a third vehicle for us, so I cannot justify a large audio investment. Priced as these generally are, it would be a nice cheap solution to give me an auxiliary input, maybe a 6-disc changer, and perhaps a slighly better sounding head unit. The one in my '04 is the stock single CD unit, and it is a little anemic.
But...I would only try this if the 2008 head unit would plug and play into the 2004 XLT's space. Same mounting approach, same modular plugs, etc. If not, the time required to make it work changes the value proposition for me.
Any opinions?
