2009 Eddie Bauer Explorer. How do I disable the talking message center?

I'm bothered occasianally by a voice message that asks whether or not I would like to perform a vehicle check. It happens for no apparent reason and is a nuisance and not a show stopper. There is no pattern as to when this will happen. The dealership doesn't know how to disable this function and they looked me like I was hearing things! Does anyone know a way to, in fact, eliminate it.
