So hoping I can get some help diagnosing this thing. The vehicle has 251k kms (152k Miles), I just replaced both front wheel bearings, both had wear (worst hubs ever to get out) and it definitely sounds better but there is still a lot of noise up front. Anything after about 40mph there is a pretty loud whirring, when you turn left even just slightly the sound is significantly worse, I wouldn't say the sound is gone turning to the right but its definitely not as loud.

There is no play in any of the front suspension. I even thought maybe it was just a bad new right wheel bearing so I ordered a warranty one but after disassembly there was definitely no issue with the bearing (I even swapped it just because). There does not seem to be any play in either axles, maybe slight play on the left side, it does seem to have a very small weep of oil from the differential on the left side but the oil in the differential is good.

So either its a bad axle or bad carrier bearing, is there something else I have missed? I may take the drivers wheel bearing off this weekend just to make sure its good and give the axle a good once over. It's the AWD limited model with the 4.6 V8.

-Brand new tires
-Brand new steering rack
-Both brand new front wheel bearings

Sounds can be deceiving, are you sure that it is coming from the front and not a rear wheel bearing? I'm not saying that it is but maybe have someone ride in the back seat to confirm what you hear.
