This morning I was backed into in a parking lot. Whoever did it didn't leave any of their info..big surprise. The rear bumper on my Ex is damaged. Here are a couple pics of it..

Is the bumper one piece or can I just replace that part that is broken? How hard is it to replace?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your Ex getting crunched. I believe the bumper is a single piece. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me will chime in.

that sucks. . .
if its the same as a 3rd gen (should be), I piece. If i remember right there really isn't anything behind it, center has Styrofoam absorber. side no. Is it shifted at all? Might have hit the bumper stop too and took that out. I'd just remove the cover and see whats up. If nothing major is found, touch-up paint . . .would be my preference.

If you claim insurance and if a body shop touches it, they will want $500-1k to fix. Ex got hit in rear and it was about $1,250 using insurance, mind you it was a good hit, bumper wasn't reusable; dent in hatch etc. . . . .everything else was still solid. If it wasnt for the hatch i'd would have fixed it myself. But at the time, on a side project i had bought most of the parking assist stuff, wire harness, module, dash switch and was only missing the bumper and sensors. Talked to the insurance adjuster who gave me a list of used bumpers in the area and i lucked out, found one with everything. Body Shop cleaned it up, painted and installed. All worked . . .
