2010 Whine in front help

Just picked up a 2010 Explorer with the 4.6l/4wd. There was a grinding initially in the front end and the dealership replaced both wheel bearings under state used car warranty requirements. I do now notice a whine/howl from the front end on acceleration...any thoughts? T-case? Any way to diagnose it further (easily) before going back to have it repaired? Thanks!

do you hear it when its running when you pop the hood? and rev it?

No, only when I drive it...it's quiet otherwise.
