So, in my 2013 Explorer I have mounted the following phone mount:

I love it! It is a blast to use one handed (mounting and removing your phone to the device). I have been running a random Lightning cable to it from the center console (the one between the seats) with a USB charger adapter in there (I don't hook it up to the built in USB ports because they charge so slow).

But, I have been thinking about doing the following.

Purchasing this Lightning cable:

Because it is tough and matches the color of the interior. Then either using something like this:

To route the cable from the interior of the center console between the seats, down to the right of your leg, and then up to the right of the steering wheel where my mount is. However, I was curious to see if anyone had any other ideas regarding the routing of the cable.

I am pretty set against plugging the cable into the built in charging area, even with a 12v adapter. That's where my Glock 26 rides:)

I have thought also about trying to pop some of the panel out and seeing if I can route the cable underneath some of the vinyl and then have it reappear at the top. I'd only do this if someone recommended it to me as a good idea.

Looking forward to it!

Well, was really hoping someone had something ingenious.
