2014 Sport: how do you access fluid cap under air filter box

Under the air filter box on the drivers side of the engine compartment is a black cap with yellow type that says something like ...use transmission fluid only... It actually looks something like a power steering reservoir. Anyway, mine seems to be leaking right by that cap but I can't get my hand down there to open that cap and retighten it. My question is: what is that and is there some kind of trick or tool to access that cap. It sure is a tight squeeze in there. Thanks for any info!

I had the same problem on my 2018, when I first got it. The transmission dipstick cap had been leaking, leaving an oily, dirty film all around it, as well as down the plastic side cover.

I had to remove the air filter box first, of course, but then cleaned-up all around it, and installed a new OEM dipstick... and it's been spotless for over 2 years now!

What I don't understand is why they didn't just install a tall half-inch tube coming from down below there, and have it come up to "eye level", so you can just check it easily, and/or add fluid if needed? Removing the air box is a useless pain, but that's how they designed it all, for some odd reason.

It was kind of hard to take off the first time. Now I do it in no time. I had to remove the air filter box to change my transmission fuid. I already did it twice. It is kind of easy now. I plan to keep doing it once a year.
