2015 Explorer hoot noise

Hello all,
I am new to this forum. Normally on the 7.3 diesel forum.
We bought a 2015 explorer this past weekend. Its a base model with the 2.0 ecoboost fwd auto 26,x.. miles.
The question I have is that, when my wife gets home from driving it smells like burnt wires or plastic. And today I guess there is a hoot or siren noise she says, I heard a small hoot. I read it might be a bad a/c valve or under charged. If anyone has any idea about this please respond. I am new to this motor and dont want to sound like an idiot when I call the dealer.

Welcome to the Forum Jpciron.
Sorry no idea what the problem might be. There is, however, an extensive thread on exhaust smell usually after hard acceleration but this doesn't appear to be your issue.
I wonder if any work was done to the Explorer just prior to you taking ownership and this is a 'burn-off' type of smell?
