2015 Ford Explorer Interc
I have 2015 Explorer Police Interceptor Utility 3.7L. I will start from the beginning. About a year and a half ago I started getting an alert that would say "check fuel intake" I did all the recommendations to fix this it said in the manual, and a few days later it would go off like it said it would. During this time, I started to get really frappy gas mileage, and noticed it didn't have the pick up it used to. While idling it almost sounded like it was idle was dropping. Check Engine Light came on. So about a year ago I put in two new catalytic converters. Not OEM parts. A ywar has gone by, and same issue. Now throwing a code catalytic deficiency p0420 p0430. We took out the year old converters one you could shake and ir was rattling. So we are at a stand still here. OEM parts are now up to a ridiculous amount, and im leery to purchase them if they are not going to even last a year. Does anyone know why this would be going on, or what would cause these converters to be going out?? Any help here? This is killing me. I'm driving my husband's 1 ton duramax and the fuel cost is breaking me. I need my other vehicle. I need advice desperately. thank you!!

Apologies for my spelling errors, as well as wanted to add- I've put in new coils, spark plugs, I did the transmission fluid, o2 sensors, front and back ones. Back pressure gage reading was in red.

Here are the OEM ones, I think. Exhaust Manifold for 2015 Ford Police Interceptor Utility | Auto Nation Ford White Bear Lake
Being they are Ford replacement parts, the are warranted for 2 years, unlimited mileage. On some parts the warranty is longer.

The ones I bought that we not OEM, did have the year warranty. However, they require you to buy the new parts first, than send back the ones claim to want warranty on. It feels like they can than deny them and I've ready purchased the new ones... just seems shady. And those also went up from $600 to almost $1800 for 2!!

Website Alert: Pulse not detected! Can you please revive me with a working alternative for 2024? PLEASE, THANK YOU!!!!!
It seems that this website is no longer valid. Perhaps it is no longer in service.
Levittown Ford is a site vendor and has very good prices and offers a discount on shipping for members but it is in the U.S.

Best guess is it looks like it might have changed ownership (?) and renamed to Apple Ford, and changed the domain name, invalidating all previous links.

Facebook post about the change.

Is this the part that you linked to previously?

It would be good to list your model year PIU.

Do Canadian PIUs inherit the US (or even California?) emissions standards, so there is an expectation that things like CATS are the same?

Is it cheaper to import parts to Canada (including shipping charges), vs paying what dealers in Canada charge?

Also in your profile instead of what I see which is just Trim Level: "Ford Explorer PIU." :)

I don't think it makes sense to do that now, because I'm going to sell it.
I just wanted to see how much are the cats costs and the brakes. Thank you 😊

Thanks J_C. That is the business I also found when I did an Internet search on AutoNation Whitebear Lake.

I have been looking too but have been confused by the ford dealership. They told me I can't buy me parts from different places just from Ford parts, means only by them!!!

What I'm looking for must be authentic, clean, not used, and not aftermarket.
Thank you Peter, and thank you CJ👍👍👍👍

One of our recommended forum vendors is Levittown Ford. They carry genuine OEM Ford parts and offer them much lower price.
The Ford site also carries OEM Ford parts but at a much higher cost. I believe that is the source dealers use to order parts from.
You can buy the parts from any dealer and as long as they are genuine OEM parts, they will carry the Ford replacement parts warranty.
This is an example of the price differences.
The crossed-off price is what you would pay from Ford. Levittown offers a 50% discount on shipping but since you are here in Canada, I don't know if that applies and I'm not sure what extra costs you would have to pay to bring them into Canada. It likely won't be worth it.
I don't know if this dealer offers similar discounts. Wholesale Parts | Maclin Ford

Oh yeah..... Here, it's costs me 5. However, my mechanic quoted a lower price, which includes his labor.
Both don't worth to unfortunately....😔😔
I'm going forward.
Thank you guys for everything!!!!
