Wondering what everyone was using as I find both a rubber 1st design and a hydraulic 2nd transmission mount option. I am assuming the hydraulic one is supposed to be an upgrade but looking for anyone who is actually used one or do you recommend I stick with the rubber 1st design? I just can’t seem to find a lot of information on the pros and cons of one over the other. Thanks.

I didn't find any posts with transmission mount descriptions but I believe the engine mounts are hydraulic.

Correct in the engine mount but the trans can be had in original rubber or “updated” hydraulic. Just looking for opinions.

What did you decide? I arrived at the same question. I see visible damage to the original trans mount (137k mi) so need to replace.

Old thread but I’m in the same position. Rubber or hydraulic?

You should replace it with the same that it came with stock (i.e., what it was designed with from the factory)
You can interchange them, but they both have very different characteristics
Hydraulic, less vibration but can leak
Rubber, harsher vibration transfer but been around forever/reliable

IMHO go OEM. Whatever your VIN tells the Ford Parts to get.
