How many batteries are in this vehicle? Is there a separate battery that keeps the memory functions live, and another battery for the starting system? thanks Junk

1 battery. That is why the transmission and fuel/trim strategies have to be relearned when he battery is disconnected and some presets are lost. There is a constant though minor current draw on the battery at all times to keep memory alive.

Thanks.. I am familiar with Mercedes having 2 batteries in the system, one for starting, and the other for maintaining the electronics. I was wondering if Ford had gone to a system like that. thanks again for the quick reply.. Junk
