Looking to replace the seal on the PTU/Transfer Case that presses into the PTU side at the interface where the input shaft on the PTU slides into the tranny. All I am finding are output shaft seals for the passenger side CV axle and the output shaft seal for the rear drive shaft. I already have those, I need the one you cannot see until you remove the PTU. Anyone know the part number for or at least the correct name for what I would call the PTU input shaft seal? Also, does the PTU use a separate type of lubricant and, if so, type and capacity?

The PTU input side has both an inner and outer seal and dealer parts personnel should be able to look that up. If leaking there I would check trans. output and PTU input shafts for excessive play in addition to debris in PTU cutting seals and shaft scoring/seal wear before replacing for a worry free repair.
