Hello All,

I am currently going to undertake changing out the plugs on my 3.5 Ecoboost.

What I am looking for is what is the factory gap I should be setting these at?

What is the factory torque spec to tighten down the plugs too?

Should these have anti-seize on them or not?

And any installation advice on the back 3 that is a tighter space?

The photos is the plugs I will be installing.

Thank you all!

Help!!! Anybody!

So I have finally started this job… and coil pack number one… the absolute easiest to get to is so tight in on the spark plug that it won’t budge… yes I have the screw removed.

It comes up maybe 1/4 inch and can wiggle it side to side a little.. but that thing is cemented on the damn spark plug.

How am I supposed to get it off there without destroying it??

Just pull up on it until you feel it release. There is nothing holding it on aside from the metal that slides over the top of the spark plug.

I’ve been pulling up, then using a pry tool to pry up and hold… nothing.. I feel like if I pull any harder I’m going to rip the boot

I would be prepared to replace at least that one if this is the case. Have you removed any of the other ones? I would try another for comparison sake at this point.

OP, did you end up getting it removed or try another one to see if it gave you the same issue?
