2018 ford explorer sport
So I bought a used 2018 Ford Explorer Sport about a month ago I didn’t have any issues with it when I bought the explorer. Now forward to now about a week ago I have been issues starting my truck it’s making a clicking noise when I try to start the explorer, but all the lights in the outside the explorer comes on. Also, when that happens a full accessory access mode pops up and the battery light pops up on the dashboard. Sometimes the explorer starts and sometimes it doesn’t.

However, I did take it to advance auto parts to test the battery and they said everything is good, but they did say it could be an electrical problem. Also, my husband have tried to jump the truck off, but it doesn’t work.

I’m not sure on what to do because I have to wait til 3 weeks to have the ford dealership do a diagnostic test on the truck.

Welcome to the Forum.
It could be a bad starter motor or solenoid—just a guess.

It could also be a bad battery connection or terminals or cables.

I was thinking about that the other day because everytime I try to start it the battery indicator light pops up everytime.

If I remember right there may be a problem with the positive battery cable and terminal where it connects to the battery. This could also cause problems with jump starting since you connect onto the cables terminal itself.

Thank you I will get my husband to look at it.
