HELP!!! My 2017 Ford Explorer is having a freak situation the dealer can't solve/fix.. yet. For about 6 months, my car will randomly make a quiet to increasingly loud Whooooop noise. Very similar to when a cop is pulling you over. No, it's not a retired police car with sirens, etc. I bought it new off the lot. The sound will go away for a few days and other days happen multiple times a day. The sound frequencies have increased and I'm guessing that's with the 90 degree heats. It's currently at Ford and has bounced all over the shop. No check engine light, no change in drive or MPG. They started with programming who heard it in the front left wheel area. Took it to the engine guys who when they drove it only heard it when turning once and hitting a speed bump so they passed it along to alignment. Alignment recreated the same scenarios and it didn't happen and dumped it back to the main shop. I made it very clear to Ford that there is NO PATTERN. It happens randomly and the noise seems to come from different areas of the car. Sometimes the left rear sometimes the back areas. The whooooop noise travels around. It's happened when I've accelerated, during coming to a stop, while idling waiting in a fast food line. There is no pattern. It's happened with the AC off and with the AC on. the latest is when I was idling, it sounded like a cruise fog horn below my car and the sound traveled up. That's when I had enough and brought it to Ford. I LOVE my car. I NEED my car. It's just becoming increasingly embarrassing. I need help to advise anything to the dealership on what to do. They are holding the car till next week hoping their senior tech who is on vacation, can come back and solve the mystery. Please help if you know the solution
