Had the security system hang up again yesterday; this has happened half a dozen or more times since I’ve had the vehicle (bought new).
This seems to happen out of the blue, the vehicle either won’t start or will start but only run for a few seconds, then shut off. The headlights flash in an unusual sequence, which usually indicates a Security System fault.
The fix is to disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes; which apparently resets the Security System.
I’ve reached out to my dealership to see if Ford has commented on this or provided a fix (I’ve done this in the past, to no avail).
Anyone, had this problem and found a permanent fix?
