2022 Ford Explorer Limkte
Hi everyone. I have a 2022 ford explorer limited with the pano sunroof and power sunshade. I opened the sunshade to let in some light the other day a plastic clip fell and the shade now droops/hangs over the third row instead of retract.

Does anyone know if this is covered under the 12,000 certification warranty and/or the premium care extended warranty?

If anyone had the same issue can someone let me know if you fixed it yourself and if so how or what parts actually failed?

Looking around I’ve seen a few posts on the issue but not any that answer my questions. Thanks everyone!

Seems like a somewhat common problem. Should be covered under warranty.

Before attempting a DIY repair, you can talk with your dealer first to see if the problem is covered.

Same thing happened to my 2022 Explorer about 6 months ago...The dealer wanted to charge $320 to inspect the truck. Also they tried to sell me a $3000 bumper to bumper warranty. I had 41K miles so the warranty was voided...now I don't use the sunroof...Shame. I have owned three Explorers and three Fusions...I'm frustrated.
