2025 Explorer Platinum
My 2025 Explorer Platinum already needed a new battery at 2,000 miles.
There was also a problem with the connector at the BCM Connector Problem (Body Control Module)
Inspected and found BCM connector C2280B was not fully seated causing intermittent loss of communication.

Dealer had it 4 days.

Battery life is more a function of time as opposed to mileage.
That said, guessing that being a 2025 we're talking a year or less.
Could be a dud battery (doubtful) or parasitic drain that needs to be further investigated. You'll know the answer to that after the second battery either [1] craps out MUCH SOONER then the average 5-7 years or [2] lasts an average life, then you'll know the first was a dud. Regardless, should have been covered by warranty.

Welcome to this forum! These things should be covered with the warranty. Did the dealer replace the battery with the same type of battery?
I believe it's the same size and type absorbed glass-mat (AGM) battery. I'll have to check it out, I took pictures of the first battery.
And yes, it was all warranty work.

It's only (5) months old. I was talking to the tech and mentioned a possible parasitic drain. He was cool, and didn't seem to mind me being in the back of the shop, but I didn't want to bother him. So, I only stayed a few minutes.
Anyway, it seems to be OK now.

Thanks you guys!

My 22 gas Maverick suffered a bad parasitic drain issue. Park it for 3-4 days and it would need a jump start! After all the many reprogramming recalls, there were unintended side effects. Instead of going to sleep, the car would start playing with itself while parked. The ABS pump would start cycling and later the vent doors would start repositioning themselves. Electronics on the car were always a bit buggy. It could never stay connected to my phone more than 5 minutes. Mechanically, it was strong. Loved it for that. But I am retired and often only drive twice a week. Got in the habit of checking the battery and putting it on a smart charger twice a week. Battery was still good and took a good charge. It would then test out well too. But a few days later, the cars jerking itself off would wear it down again. Took it to the dealer and explained what was happening. Their solution was to recharge my battery, test it and tell me it's fine and I can go home now. That was a useless waste of my time. The car only had 3 months of warranty left, and I felt they were running down the clock to dump it in my lap financially.
I wound up going to a different Ford Dealer and trading it in on my new Explorer. I only lost $3k trading it in from what I paid new. Got a $7k discount on the new Explorer too. Not too bad an ending, just frustrating.
I think they sold it to the next guy unfixed. Realistically, if the new owner drove it every day to work, I doubt they'd see the issue I had.
Three months later, Ford made a recall for that same issue! Their solution, new batteries for everyone! (Just kick the can down the road, don't solve it!)
8 months now and glad I did the trade. The Explorer has been a terrific car for me. Very pleased. Much fancier electronics and so far, they all work exactly as they should!
