Hi everybody, I have been on this sight a million times reading your guys advice and decided it was finally time to join! As of now my 4x4 '04 Sport Trac is plain stock, and after having it for over 3 years and seeing all the awesome trucks on this site, I can't stand mine stock any longer!

I have researched quite a bit but have been unable to find any answers to my question. From my understanding, I can fit 265/75r16 tires, but i would really like to get closer to 33" as I just love the look. I'm not an avid off road guy, but I do find myself in enough situations between my cabin, hunting, hiking, and camping that I do find it necessary to have a truck, so a little extra clearance wouldn't hurt!

I guess my main question is, after a 2" TT and 1-2" rear shackle lift, will I be able to fit the skinny 255/85r16, or am I going to have to settle for the 265/75r16?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me, and I'm excited to finally become a member of this site!

Welcome to the site! I ran 255/75 at stock height on stock wheels. Had a tiny amount of rub at full lock on the sway bar, but probably depends on the tire. I'm assuming with a couple inches of lift you would be fine to run 85r.

I know it's pretty far but next Sunday (Jul 16) some friends any I are doing a little tour through Gifford Pinchot NF on some development roads. If you're interested let me know and I will get you the information. Would be great to meet up with another Trac owner.

Err... I just checked with my buddy who I sold my old tires to, and they were 256/70.

Thanks for the response! I think that's about 4 or 5 hours from me but I might have to take you up on that, I will let you know!
As far as the tires go, I basically just want to know how tall I can go with only a TT and shackles, I just don't want to buy 265/75's and then end up wishing I had gone bigger if it's possible to do so!
