Wife's Sport just hit 42000 miles and although there were still a few thousand left in tires, decided to get new shoes because Merchant Tires was having a "Buy 3, get one FREE" sale.

Mounted, balanced, new valve stems, TPMS reset, and lifetime rotation cost $683 out of the door.

I was worried at first that the tires would look too wide for the rims, but I tell you what, these tires are a perfect fit IMO. Nitto actually lists a 9 inch rim as being ideal for this tire. Also has a nice lip to protect the rim.

Hankooks-30.1" tall
Nittos-29.76" tall

The Nittos are such a big improvement over the stock Hankooks. I tried to get a little squeal while coming around a cloverleaf to get onto the highway, but a pretty tight turn at 70 MPH wouldn't even coax the slightest noise from the tires. It stuck like it was on rails. No clearance or rubbing issues either.

I haven't noticed any increased NVH over OEM (might even argue that it's quieter and smoother), nor have I experience any pulling from the tires on uneven roads.

The weather has been awesome this weekend, so no testing in the rain as of yet. However, all of the reviews have been positive for bad weather, including in the snow. Perhaps some updates later.

I especially like the tread wear indicator dots on each row of tread so you can monitor for uneven wear. (Second to last pic)

Here are a few pics. Unfortunately, the low rear pic that I took when she was sitting in the garage was too dark to see the width of the tires.

That looks good! I was thinking of going to 275's as well once the time comes and was searching around trying to find if anyone has done it, thanks to your pics that maybe the route I take now!

Can you post the rest of the dimensions? How much wider are they?

Thanks. That's pretty much why I made this specific thread. I have neen searching tires with the same questions and couldn't find enough info on the site. Glad I was able to help.

I'm underway right now (Navy) and our outdated I.E. won't bring up the nitto website for the info. I'm pretty certain that if you open the link in my first post, it will give the specifics.

I will say that they are noticably wider when looking at them. Just about perfect for the Sport IMO. With a modest set of springs, I think that the combo would just right.

$683 out the door for 4 20" SUV tires is a hellavu deal. Nice score. I hopefully have many years before I have to put new tires on.

A few years back we put what I though were relatively inexpensive tires on my wife's CX9(20" rims) and that was ~$1100 out the door.

I am looking at the yokahamas. $159 each on tire rack for the 275/45/20

255/50r20 or 275/45r20 for '13 Sport

How are you liking the Nitto NT 421Q 275/45r20 tires after having them for a while? I am getting ready to buys some for my '13 Sport. Trying to decide if I should stay with the stock size of 255/50r20 or go with the wider 275/45r20. I am in the Pacific NW if that helps with advice.

I went with the hankook ventus 275/45/20s and love every them

Whats the widest anyone has gone on the stock rims?
I was hoping for 285 or 295's

A 295/40R20 tire would fall within the 3% maximum diameter variance guideline (-2.49%) but I can't tell you if it would fit without rubbing. Also, keep in mind that the wider the tire, the more rolling resistance you are likely to encounter.

Does anyone know if a 265/50/20 tire will rub on stock 20" wheels? Stock tires are 255/50/20.
