29 inch tires with TT/Shackles? im a newb

Hey guys, this is my first post, although I have been reading the forums for about 3 months.

I am curious about how a 96 2wd XLT would look with TT/Shackles? I'm worried that it will look stupid with the extra space and already small tires.

A pic would be great if you have one, I couldnt find one.

Also, if/when I do the TT/shackles, will larger tires (thinking a body lift and 33s) be retarded with 2WD and my low gears? Im not sure if there is even any point in wheeling with 2WD?

What most people here will tell you is that if you go up to 33's, your truck's performance will suffer unless you regear. If you're worried about having a huge gap between your tire and your fender, I'd say just buy 31's for now, and forget about the lift until you want to go to a bigger tire.

i agree 31's are probably the way to go 32's would prolly be the best with tt and shackles

It looks fine with stock tires and 2inch lift. It's hardly noticable to be honest...
