2K3 Explorer Interior Question

My dad just bought a 2K3 Explorer XLS and it doesn't come with the third row seat. What I am wondering is if anyone has installed the third row seat and what modifications need to be done. I have not seen an Explorer with the third row seat so I am not familiar with how it is setup. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've only had car show experience with the new style X but I believe the third row could be installed pretty easily. My guess is Ford wouldn't have made the rears of those without so different it couldn't be done. The third seat sits right on the floor. The mounts for the seat belts should even be there. I'll bet the seat is pretty damned expensive though.

Ok i got an 02 XLS and my buddy has an 02 XLT with the third row seat. when i pull the front cargo cover off in the rear there is like plastic under the cover and the XLT's have carpet for the 3rd row seat and the panels are different they have another cup holder and storage thing .. but nothing big....
