There should be a release handle along the side of the outer seats to allow you to fold them down or flip them up. If they aren't working, you may have something wedged under the seat that is keeping you from flipping them upright.
Just curious here. Did the Ford dealership charge you to remove the penny? If so, how many hours labor > (LOL) did they charge you for and what was the cost?
they were nice enough to not charge me anything, It took them 10 minutes, but I did fell like I needed to give them something so I got my oil changed and tires rotated .
