new to forum posting. first, thanks to all posters, i've learned a lot about x here on this forum.
recently moved from west coast and will be driving in chicago winter. being that i've never driven in snow, i'm interested in improving traction on my truck to minimize chances of slipping and causing an accident.
i have an 02 xlt 2wd v6 4.0 sohc at 102K miles with 255/70/16 bridgestone dueler a/t revo on all fours (15K miles), and everything else is stock. the ride is smooth and quiet, been on mobil 1 for awhile, and maintenance has been performed regularly.
i'm looking into adding weight to cargo space and would like to avoid making any mods at this time.

-by the way, tranny and rear diff were replaced at 93K covered by extended warranty and the bridgestone revo's are awesome on this truck. will show pics soon.

thanks
j.

Adding weight does help a great deal. But also, driving slower ensures more control :D
