Question- I have a stock 93 explorer and want to put a 3 in body lift on it, what is the biggest tire size I can go without having to mess with the gears?

That would depend on 2 things.

1.Your toleration of the power loss and component wear

2.Your current gearing.

When I had just my 3" body lift, I could fit 32x11.50 BFGs on 15x10 wheels with some minor rubbing on the inner fenders when I turned sharp. You probably wouldn't get any rubbing with 8" wheels. For gearing I have 3:55 and I didn't mind it...right now I have 33s with the same gears. You really notice the power loss though when trying to pass.

wanna talk about power loss try 35's with 3:73's :D :D :D :D

What about 3:73's with 33"x12.5" mounted on 15"x7" stock rims?

What kind of wear are we talking?

How would it be affected with a PowerTrax?

How would the PowerTrax work in the Sand?

Would the PowerTrax be worth it?
