I am on my 2nd 92' explorer, on both of them my intermittent wipers do not work (every once in a while they will, but most of the time they won't), they only work on Hi, and will stop wherever they are when I turn it back to Low. 2nd problem (on my current one only) is that when I press in the switch to spray fluid on the windshield I can hear the pump going, but nothing comes out anywhere, and the wipers do not come on. 3rd problem (again on my current one) when I flip on my high beams, my lights go completely out. I have checked the bulbs, and they are brand new so it's not them, and my regular headlights work fine, and when I pull back on it for the temp high beams nothing happens at all. Does this all sound like it would be the multifunction switch or does it sound like seperate problems?

The intermittent wipers problem sounds like the multifunction switch, though you might want to check the wiper relay as well, and swap it out just to be sure.

The washer fluid might be a blockage in the fluid line, if it's getting power to the washer pump and the washer fluid level is good.

The headlights going out (especially on high beam) is likely the stock headlight switch going bad. This is a known issue with this type of switch Ford used on various models. Replace the headlight switch if you still get the same issue after the multifunction switch is replaced. I would still suggest replacing the headlight switch anyway, they do go bad and it's happening to most 91-94's now. They can be a fire hazard, so it's better to replace them than risk an electrical fire.

I have already swapped the headlight switch with my other explorer, so I don't think it could be that... Where is the wiper relay? I am going to the scrap yard tomorrow to pull a switch for the wipers, and hope it will kill 2 birds with 1 stone

I swapped out multifunction switch, didn't make any difference. Everything was exactly the same
