Okay, I have a 96 V-8 AWD expo. I bought it used from a dealer and never looked at the tire size when I bought it as all the tires were brand new. This was about 2-3 months ago. Today I'm looking at the tires and I realize that I have 3 235/75-15 tires and 1 30x9.50-15 tire! I know that a 30x9.50 tire is not much bigger than a 235/75 but is it bad to have it like this? I know that having a huge difference in size is bad but is the difference I have minor enough? How about on AWD? The tires are all like brand new still and I'd hate to have to replace just a tire. BTW: The tires are BFG All terrains if that makes a difference or not.

If its a front tire it shouldn't matter because of the open differential

Yes, it's in the front but it won't affect the AWD at all?

yes, under some conditions it may affect the AWD. It may also add handling, ride, and vibration quirks.

I haven't noticed any quirks but I've only driven it this way from the day I've had it so I wouldn't know otherwise. If I run it this way until the tires wear out will I damage the AWD? I wouldn't think so......and I don't want to get new tires just yet.

i think that would make me a little bit nervous running one size bigger tire,

i think it would be ok to use as a spare cause it would only be used temporarily,

but in my opinion I think it would be best to run all the same size
