The tires on my truck sucked very badly in the snow, so I put on a set of my 31" tires.

Question is: With an A4LD thats already showing signs of weakness, are these tires going to do a lot(if any) long term damage/wear to the transmission? The truck has 3.08 gears, which is why im asking. These tires would only be on for the winter.

Thanks.

you will be fine i had that set up for 3 months and averaged around 12 15 mpg
your speedo will be off by a 1/10 of a mile

ps i have 235,000 miles on my 4ald

at what speed?
the offset of the speedometer is related to the speed that the vehicle is travelling.

such as 100 miles an hour you will be 10 miles off 80 8 miles off just move the desmial place 1 space to the left and subtract. simple stuff
