I have an 02 sport trac and I am going to do a 3" body lift and the TT/shackles. I want to put a 33/12.50 M/T baja claw on the M/T 15x10 classic II's. Has anyone run this combo or know whether it will work without rubbing? Do I need to go with a 15x8? I want the tires to stick out from the truck as far as possible, but I dont want any major problems with rubbing.

You could run 8" wide rims. I've got 33x12.5 tires on my 17x8 rims and have no rubbing at all.

I have this combo on mine (3" spindle instead of 3" bodylift) and yes they will rub. I took off the lower body molding and beat the corner of the fender in and now they only rub a little while turning in reverse. Mine is a mall-wheeler though, and if it did any offroading i would run them on 8's. They do stick out quite a bit if that is the look you want...
