330 hp 5.0 carbed

so, im planning a pretty wild build over the next year, ill be buying the parts untill next august, and im going to start the teardown next august with all parts onhand. should be done a month or two after teardown, getting everything i need is whats going to be a PITA.
so heres what im looking at for the heart of my project.

im looking to get a carbed 302 in the 330 hp range, how many of you guys run carbs? i want the carbed setup for easy tuning, easy drop in (well, i shouldnt say easy, but less electrically complicated) and plus im just old skool like that.
i should also add that i plan on completing the old-skoolness of this project with a C6

what kind HP comes from a stock 5.0 fuel injected motor similar to what youd find in a 2nd gen??

The stock 96-01 302 is near 250hp, but RWHP in AWD models is under 200. There are countless engine builders. Pick one by quality and service, with recommendations.

I can offer that the best power for the money can be had from Fordstrokers.com and a custom cam from CI(Camshaft Innovations). A stroker can be done for not a lot more than a 302, check out their 347 shortblock for $1900. Regards,

i was kinda looking for a turn-key type engine for under 4000 dollars... it just needs to be at least 330 hp and carbed.
i dont have the time to build the engine myself, i will be out of country from january to august of '09, and the best i can do for my project during that time frame will be to order parts and have them stockpiled for when i get back.
