Hi, just have a quick question about 33's on a stock explorer, and if this is possible? i saw this ad for this truck.. http://www.buysell.com/showad.asp?id=22045099 theres a pic of it too, but anyways it says there is 33's on it. It says nothing about any sort of lift. I thought someone was saying that the biggest tires on a stock explorer is something like 31's.. what do you guys think...
thanks,
Steve

You cant have 33's on a stock explorer, eather they typed something wrong or they do have a lift.

looks like it has a body or shackles/spacers suspension lift, and maybe im wrong but those look like 31's....

I would definetely say there is a body lift on there. It si hard to tell between 31 and 33 in a pic, but I say those look like 33s. He doesn't say it isn't lifted either:p besides it is a dealer selling it anyways, like they would have a clue.

taxman is right! 2 inches in a picture isnt exactly noticable.....why dont you email the guy and see if the tires have a metric number on them.....that would be one way to find out! plus most tires that are supposed to be a certain size are usually a little smaller

It looks like 32s with a 2" body lift.

I might just go check it out the next time I am up there....

whatever it has, it needs to get rid of some of that sag in the back

Hi kowalsy.
I noticed we're from the same city. :D

Sorry for offtopic.

I also noticed that we are near each other. Koooky!

Those are stock 15x7 wheels. So those are 31's and he's got 2" of lift, probably shackles and spacers. Those can't be 33's. You can't fit 33 x 12.50's on stock wheels, at least i've never seen anyone do it successfully.

33s do exist in a 9.5 and 10.5 and they fit on stock wheels with 1.5"-2" of lift. I bet thats what he has. Doesn't look like body lift either to me.

I disagree... there's definately a body lift on there... If the picture were from father out, you would be able to see alot of the frame underneath. The pic is taken pretty close and with the camera tilted slightly down, and you can still see the frame sticking out before the rear fender wells. He's also go stock shackles and you can see them sticking out, another sign of a body lift.

There's a Gen 1 around VT with a 3" BL and 32's.. i would say this one has either 32's or 33's and atleast a 3" BL

no i took alot of motrin

but is there suppose to be a picture ??
cuz i really dont see one ??

Oh yeah, forgot about 33x9.50 and 33x10.50 sizes...

could be that...actually it better be that since he's running stock 15x7 wheels. 33x12.50's on stock 15x7's can be run, but might bust a bead!!

Is it just me or do the doors look like they have been lightly tapped with a Mack truck in the past. They just don't line up. lol

Here's the pic BTW:

I think there is a body lift on there too. If you look in the rear fender, you can kind of make out the gap between the body and the frame. Maybe a 2".....
