347 Stroker / GT40 "P" Header Problem !?!

I have a '96 5.0 Explorer currently with the GT40 "P" heads/headers on them. I'm ordering a 347 Stroker engine from Coast High Performance <http://www.coasthigh.com>. My problem is that I'd like to buy aftermarket heads, Trick Flow or Edelbrock, but I was told I'd have to replace the headers and possibly the exhaust/catalytic converter. If this is the case, will any shorty 302 headers work with the new heads or will I have to find specific headers to work with my current aftermarket exhaust?

It's not hard to find the aftermarket shorty headers..But, will you really be gaining anything over the GT heads??I've got a set of the windsors on the 302 in my pick-up and they are heavy....I think you will probally lose any h.p. gain by the added weight of the heads,Not to mention you'll have to change pushrods and intake..
