Man I can't believe this, had to have it towed. The truck would not engage into any gear after stopping at a red light; however there was light, white smoke from the exhaust.

Is there any way the Vaccuum Modulator sucks tranny fluid into the combustion area and makes it smoke like that?

to answer your question yes.if the vaccum diaphram goes out it allows tranny fluid to be pulled in the intake to check it just pull the hose off the valve if fluid pours out its bad.you can also check it the intake the hose is on the back of the intake on top of the vaccum fitting hope this helps

Tranny shop called and said

the front seal was leaking badly and woud not hold fluid. So they have to drop the tranny and look further at. Hopefully only the seal needs replacing.

I doubt I will be that lucky!
